Risk assessments should be reviewed whenever there are significant changes — new machinery, new substances, process changes, building modifications, after any incident or near-miss, or when HSE issues new guidance. As a minimum best practice, we recommend a formal annual review of all assessments. Our retained clients receive scheduled review visits as part of their package to ensure assessments stay current and compliant.

HSE charges a Fee for Intervention (FFI) of £166 per hour (2024/25 rate) for every hour spent by an inspector on investigating a material breach of health and safety law at your premises.
